" The Ben Pierce Foundation was an idea I had for about a year before we actually got it set up in January 2018, it is something I wanted to do because as a footballer you have a lot of free time on your hands and for me I wanted to make the most of that free time and to try and help make a difference in children's lives who is battling cancer and other serious illnesses and try my best to put smiles on there faces and help them to keep fighting and to never lose hope"
About Us
The aim of The Ben Pierce Foundation is to help and support children who are battling cancer and other serious illnesses, but also to provide the same support and help to their families. We are working closely with children’s wards at The Royal Manchester, particularly: Ward 84, the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Units. The foundation wants to help give them as good of quality of life as possible because no one deserves to battle cancer or these serious illnesses, especially Children. We hope to offer an element of relief by bringing a smile to a child’s face through little personalised gestures which could be toys, electronics, fashion or experiences.

In terminal illness, our priority changes to try and fulfil a child & families wish as best we can. These wishes may be in the nature of ‘meet and greet’ opportunities with their role models or experiences they have always wanted to have. Enabling the children and families to make memories that they can hold onto and will put a big bright smile on their faces and give them hope and strength to keep fighting. We are also raising money to try and buy and provide necessary equipment and resources to Ward 84 and the Bone Marrow & Stem Cell Transplant Units both for research and also treatments.
Our Founder Ben Pierce has been inspired by numerous stories and people alike. Having lived a very fortunate childhood and being able to still follow his football dreams across the world, Ben strives to make a different and ‘give back’ as much as he possibly can because "Every Child Deserves A Chance” - no matter what their health circumstances may be. This ultimately where The Ben Pierce Foundation Slogan came from.
The Ben Pierce Foundation will be having various fundraising events on a yearly basis, to raise funds to enable us to fund projects that we aim to set up going forward.
